FAQs
How does admission work at Oak House?
We're excited to welcome you to our admissions process! Start by signing up for a tour, and after you’ve experienced it, you’ll be invited to submit an application. Once we receive your application fee and application, your student can look forward to a visit day at Oak House, along with a parent interview, leading to a decision letter from our admin team.
How do families get to know Oak House?
Families often get to know Oak House through word of mouth, as satisfied parents share their positive experiences. Additionally, our presence on Facebook helps connect us with the community, while local tutors and therapists frequently recommend us to families seeking supportive educational environments for their children.
Is Oak House just a school for kids with dyslexia?
Oak House is a place where all students can thrive! While we do use dyslexia-informed practices as part of our approach, our school is built around the concept of Universal Design for Learning. This means we create an educational environment that supports and benefits every student, not just those with dyslexia.
Does Oak House give priority to students who have siblings already in attendance?
Oak House values keeping families together whenever possible, so we warmly welcome siblings of current students. We're always excited to have more members of a family join our community!

Does my child have to be an Oak House student to attend The Oak House School Summer Camps?
Oak House Summer Camps are open to everyone in the community, not just Oak House students! In fact, many of our current students first joined us as campers. We'd love to welcome your child to a summer of fun, learning, and new friendships!
